DIRECTIONS
- First, watch this video of Miss Michelle walking you through exactly how to make the DIY gingerbread house! These were a HUUUUGE hit with our social media followers and dozens of people made them with their kiddos.
- After the houses are made and have dried overnight it’s time to decorate! See photos for how we set up the food and frosting. We used mini trays to display and candies, added marshmallows around the table, and put large popsicle sticks in the frosting for the kids to use to frost their houses.
- The most important part is to let the kids create however they want! If they want to slather their house in marshmallows, rock on. They’re going to use too much frosting and too much candy and it’s going to be the best thing ever. You know when most of the kids are making gingerbread houses with their families they’re told “not too much” and “put that here” and “that doesn’t go there” so with these we let them be 100% child-led and the results are hilariously perfect.
