This is what Summer looks like at Friends Preschool: Neon. Wet. Painty. Happy!
Whenever we post photos and videos of these giant, colorful, water buckets we always get a ton of questions asking what we use to make the color sooo vibrant and it’s one thing: fluorescent BioColor paint! That’s right – just paint. *hallelujah* And since BioColor is our normal paint we don’t have to do/buy anything special for this.
MATERIALS
- Fluorescent BioColor Paint
- Large Buckets
- Water (We use the hose)
DIRECTIONS
Fill up your containers with hose water and add paint. Each of these photos have about 1/4 cup of paint in them – not much at all. We add the paint in then just whisk around.
Also, because I don’t want the little humans to get cold, I also add in a bucket of warm water to each container to make the cold hose water warmer for the kids.
Note: I have a ton of plastic containers from sensory bin material storage, but before I made sensory bins we would just ask families to send in any clear, plastic containers for us to borrow for a week or two. The paint doesn’t stain so the containers went home just as clear as when they arrived at school.
