What is Virtual Preschool?

Oh, it’s the best thing in the world.

For over a combined 35 years, Miss Michelle and I taught preschool in person at our creative, sensory-rich, academic, play-centered preschool and had the time of our lives.

Then, in early 2020, we had to temporarily close our preschool doors from state-mandated Covid shutdowns, and a couple of months in, we realized we had an opportunity.

We could either reopen our in-person preschool that Fall, OR we could pivot, professionally film our preschool, and open our school to the world.

We spent that Summer hiring a video producer, transforming a part of my home into a full-blown video production studio, creating the BEST preschool program, building a website, and in turn, bringing preschool for thousands of children, families, and teachers around the world.

Once Virtual Preschool launched, everything changed in the best, most wonderful way.

Over the course of two years, we created an elaborate, gorgeous, engaging preschool program.

We have had children, families, and teachers join us from over 70 countries around the world!

How does Virtual Preschool work?

In total, there are 60 thematic weeks of learning including themes like apples, dinosaurs, the body, bees, arctic animals, community helpers, colors, pets, weather, outer space, bears, the zoo, seasons, holidays, and so, so much more.

Each week of Virtual Preschool has two main parts: Videos and a Weekly Learning Packet.

Videos

Each week includes four 30-40 minute teacher-led videos.

Every video has multiple segments where Miss Kristian and Miss Michelle engage children in literacy, math, science, art, storytelling, cooking, movement, poetry, and more.

Our videos are a BLAST! Not only are they beautifully produced, but they’re led by two experienced preschool teachers who lead children through exciting learning and play.

Some of the segments are interactive where children follow along with low-prep activities, while others are simply watched and enjoyed.

Weekly Learning Packet

In addition to the videos, each week also has a corresponding Weekly Learning Packet.

Each packet includes:

  • A weekly lesson plan with 10 optional, easy, low-prep activities to try at home
  • Letter of the Week printables
  • Poem of the Week
  • Four printable journaling prompts
  • Other supplemental activities
  • Printable preschool certificate

You get all of this every week. Educational videos and all of the resources to keep kids learning all week long – the dream.

Between the videos and the Weekly Learning packet, this comprehensive preschool program is a one-stop-shop for the best preschool homeschool learning.

Several children gather around a table, busy coloring in a flower giant coloring poster that stretches the entire length of the surface. The poster includes cheerful sunflowers, bold daisies, patterned tulips, and cartoon bugs. The scene is full of spring energy, with vibrant colors like fuchsia, lime green, and royal blue filling in the outlines. Kids are using markers from small pastel-colored bowls placed evenly across the table.

Two children stand on a striped outdoor rug in front of a large glass sliding door covered in thick, colorful paint strokes. One child in a red sweatshirt paints the lower middle area of the window with an orange-handled brush, while another child in a blue sweatshirt paints nearby with a pink-handled brush. The glass is filled with layered blue, pink, purple, green, and orange paint in swirls, loops, and drips. A white paint tray with several bright paint colors and brushes sits on the rug below the window.
