The new city theme GIANT coloring banner is “wheely” fun for kids! Roll it out, grab coloring supplies, and go.

The city theme giant coloring banner is everything I hoped for (and more!)

I have used sidewalk chalk to draw cities for our preschoolers to play in for years.

I draw the roads and buildings, and the kids color them all in + add their own ideas and touches, too.

Then, the kids grab toy cars, and they’re captivated.

There was just one problem: the chalk would fade or blow away quicker than we liked, and we needed a solution.

This enormous, adorable, interactive 10-foot coloring page banner was the BEST solution!

Kids can color in the buildings, streets, water, and plants with any of their favorite art supplies, PLUS they can add their own designs.

Add in cars, and it’s hours and hours and hours of fun.

When done, roll it up and then unroll when you’re ready to play with it next.

  • Drawing or painting supplies – ex: paint, markers, crayons, tempera sticks, watercolors, colored pencils, twist crayons
  • Toy cars  – optional
A section in the corner of the banner says "Draw: Add in your own details!" with sample signs, vehicles, and plants for kids to draw on their banner.

Directions

The best thing about this banner is that you can color it with any of your favorite art supplies!

Here, we used watercolors, crayons, and markers.

Simply roll it out and invite your kids to unleash their creativity.

You can use it:

  • On a table
  • Taped to a wall
  • On the kitchen floor
  • On the back patio
  • In a classroom hallway
  • In your driveway with neighbors
  • On a playdate
  • As a birthday gift
  • And in so many more places!

The amount of excitement and collaboration that kids use when creating is the very best part.

We also love that the banner can be used with kids of all ages!

A wooden bus toy sits on the banner.

How do you store the banner?

Just roll it up in between uses!

The coloring banner comes shipped in a tube that can also be used as a protective storage option in between uses.

Coloring is one the best gifts you can provide to your children

I watched a video years ago about Mo Willems (Caldecott-winning author/illustrator of the “Elephant & Piggie” series + the “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus” series) and took away something I think about daily.

In the video, Mo shared that they cover the kitchen table each night in white butcher paper and add drawing supplies around the table at his house.

While they eat, they color.

And do you know what kids do when they color? They talk.

Coloring occupies parts of the brain that simultaneously allow other regions to light up.

While kids are working on spatial skills, building fine motor muscles, and imagining… they think, talk, plan, and create.

Coloring with our preschoolers is one of my favorite activities to do with kids for the same reason. I love sitting, chatting, coloring, collaborating, brainstorming, and creating.

Something special happens when kids color and our coloring banners are beautiful for facilitating magic.

Your kids will love the city theme giant coloring banner

There’s absolutely nothing not to love about this interactive, creative, adorable activity.

I can’t wait to see yours!
