Fun ways to use your outer space coloring poster

  • Use it for parties – whether you’re whoopin’ it up at home or in the classroom, a giant banner always excites everyone!
  • Lay it as a tablecloth – lay the banner on a table during a meal and color it while you eat. Sharing a meal and drawing with your people is a recipe for treasured moments.
  • Bring it outside – while these are a blast indoors (and a perfect rainy day activity), they’re also sturdy enough to be used outdoors! Lay it on the ground, tape it to a fence…you name it.
  • Send as a gift – when ordering, enter the recipient’s address for the shipping address, and we will send it directly to them FOR you! Birthday gifts, holidays, and “just because.”
  • Gift to a teacher – teachers LOVE these. Send one to school with your child as a gift, and your child’s teacher can use these for a whole-class activity.
  • Use as wrapping paper – once your banner is complete, roll it up and save it until the next time you need to wrap a gift. People will get a kick out of seeing hand-decorated wrapping paper.

The outer space coloring banner is fun AND educational

Of course, these are just pure fun to color in! Hearing kids shout, “I am coloring an astronaut!” and “I just finished painting in the Earth” is the absolute cutest.

And it’s an excellent teaching tool. The names of each planet are written above them and can be used as a conversation starter to learn about space.

We have seen many families and classes read books about planets, note the different colors shown in books, and then color the banner to make the planets match how they look in real life.

The banner is also an excellent way to introduce vocabulary words such as planets, solar system, constellations, meteors, shooting stars, and more.
