Spooky Science suggestions for your Halloween water play
Want to take the fun up a notch?
- Chilly fun: Try freezing some of the Halloween trinkets in ice cubes the night before. Pop them into the water, and let your kiddos figure out how to “free” the trapped spiders and eyeballs.
- Sink and float: Talk to your little ones about what happens when different items float or sink in the water.
- Bubbling potions: You can even add a bit of baking soda and vinegar to create a fizzy, bubbling “witch’s potion” effect.
Frequently Asked Questions
This is ideal for preschoolers, but with supervision, toddlers and older kids can enjoy it too. Always provide ample supervision and make sure children do not put any of the materials in their mouths.
Food coloring or even a bit of washable paint mixed with water will also work perfectly!
