We ♥️ Crayola Color Wonder printable coloring pages

I first learned about Crayola Color Wonder products from a sweet customer who left a 5-star review on our website for one of our printable coloring page packs.

Adi wrote, “Super cute coloring pages. These are perfect for my toddler, because of their simplicity. He’s not interested in most coloring pages yet, but he loves these. I printed some onto Color Wonder paper for a trip recently and it worked great!”

I immediately went to Amazon, ordered the paper and markers, and excitedly printed off some of our coloring pages.

It felt like Christmas when they were delivered, and oh my goodness, these are such a fun combo!

How Crayola Color Wonder products work their magic

Crayola Color Wonder products work using a special colorless ink technology. The markers are filled with an invisible ink that only becomes visible when it comes into contact with Color Wonder paper.

Here’s a breakdown of how it works:

  • Markers look colorless: The Color Wonder markers all have white tips, which might seem confusing at first. But once the marker touches the Color Wonder paper, the color is revealed like magic!
  • Magic paper interaction: The Color Wonder paper has a special coating that reacts to the invisible ink in the markers. This coating ensures that the colors appear only on the designated paper and nowhere else.
  • No mess on other surfaces: If kids use the markers on any surface other than Color Wonder paper—whether it’s skin, furniture, or clothing—no color will show up.

This magical duo of invisible ink and specially coated paper makes Crayola Color Wonder absolutely magical!

Why parents and teachers love Crayola Color Wonder printable coloring pages

Before diving it, is important to note how much we love messy projects. From paint and art to sensory bins, we love and understand the importance of mess and learning.

However, messy projects aren’t always a fit for every family, classroom, situation, or environment.

Because these markers only show up on the coordinating paper, these are perfect for times where you need something that won’t make a mess.

I love the idea of taking these to a restaurant or using on a plane for a colorful, creative project that won’t leave unwanted colors in unwanted places.

Coloring pages and fine motor skills in preschoolers

Coloring pages are an amazing tool for developing fine motor skills in preschoolers.

When children grip the crayons or markers and use them to color within the lines, they’re strengthening the small muscles in their hands, fingers, and wrists.

These muscles are crucial for tasks like writing, cutting with scissors, and even tying shoes later on.

Coloring also helps children practice hand-eye coordination as they focus on staying within the lines, making it a fun yet effective fine motor activity!

The rainbow is mostly filled with overlapping tissue paper squares in bright rainbow colors, and both cloud shapes at the bottom are covered with layered white squares. The glass is filled with layered blue, pink, purple, green, and orange paint in swirls, loops, and drips. A white paint tray with several bright paint colors and brushes sits on the rug below the window.
