Why we love Easter coloring pages for kids

Coloring pages are one of my love languages.

I love using them in the classroom, at home, with little kids, big kids, adults…anywhere and everywhere!

I especially love them for holidays to let kids get into the holiday spirit. PLUS, they make adorable decorations for kids to display.

Our Easter coloring pages for kids aren’t like other coloring pages

How so? Ours are hand-drawn. 🤩

Many (most? all?) other coloring pages for kids in the world are created with clipart. However, clipart has perfect lines and perfect corners and doesn’t make me feel artsy.

BUT hand-drawn lines? They feel approachable and inviting and make the art feel like art!

Hand-drawn lines > clipart lines

We have so many hand-drawn coloring page sets to choose from including:

  • Halloween Coloring Pages
  • Valentine’s Day Coloring Pages
  • Winter Coloring Pages
  • and MORE!

Directions

Simply print and go!

The Easter coloring page set is for use in one home or classroom, but you can print the pages off as many times as you want. Most people who purchase any of our holiday coloring page sets use them year after year.

You can also outline the coloring pages with black glue to make black glue art (you have to check this out!).

Two black-and-white coloring pages featuring a large, detailed Easter egg with geometric and swirl patterns and a stylized flower with intricate leaf designs. Several pastel-colored markers rest nearby on a pink background with scattered jellybeans.

What type of paper should these be printed on?

Whatever paper you have!

Seriously.

You don’t need to buy anything special, fancy, or expensive to print these on.

We print on regular copy paper or cardstock (cardstock is thicker). We love and use both paper types regularly for all art media.

Three Easter coloring pages on a pink background featuring a bunny face with round glasses, large decorated Easter eggs, and bunny paw prints with smaller eggs around them. Two uncapped markers rest nearby, and colorful jellybeans are scattered throughout the scene.

Coloring pages are made for more than just crayons

One of the reasons why I LOVE coloring pages is because you can use waaaay more than just crayons. Look at your art supplies and experiment with different materials.

I love using:

  • Watercolors – this is probably my favorite way to color in coloring pages
  • Markers
  • Crayons
  • Colored pencils
  • Tempera sticks
  • Oil pastels
  • Watercolor pencils
  • Watercolor crayons
  • Highlighters
  • Glitter glue
  • Twistable pencils

The sky is the limit! I use coloring pages frequently in the classroom, and I change out the supplies the kids are invited to use.

A box of 64 Crayola crayons sits on a bright pink surface with several black-and-white Easter coloring pages underneath. The pages display patterns of Easter eggs and jellybeans, with individual crayons scattered around, ready for coloring.

Are coloring pages good for kids?

Absolutely they are!

I don’t look at coloring pages as an art activity as much as I do a fine motor activity.

I don’t typically grab coloring pages if I need to develop an art project. However, if I am trying to think of a fine motor activity, coloring pages are gold.

Fine motor goodness: When kids are coloring, they’re practicing all of the essential skills needed for handwriting down the line. In fact, even for kids who do know how to write, they’re still beneficial for keeping finger and hand muscles strong!

Kids with better handwriting often score higher on tests and get better grades in school (source – but dozens of studies confirm this, too).

Because handwriting is so important, I don’t think kids can ever have enough opportunities to draw and color.

For this reason, we have coloring pages for all kinds of holidays, seasons, and events! Plus, we add more throughout the year, too.

Your little chicks will love these Easter coloring pages for kids

From eggs and chicks to bunnies and flowers, this set will be a hit in your home and classroom.

Your kids can never have too many coloring pages, and we know they’ll love these.

Have fun!

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pages come in the set?

27! There are many pages and designs to choose from.

What age are coloring pages for?

Any that love to color! I use these with my 3-6 year old preschoolers all the way through my college students.

What printer do you have?

I have an Epson printer from Costco and it’s the best thing ever.

Several children gather around a table, busy coloring in a flower giant coloring poster that stretches the entire length of the surface. The poster includes cheerful sunflowers, bold daisies, patterned tulips, and cartoon bugs. The scene is full of spring energy, with vibrant colors like fuchsia, lime green, and royal blue filling in the outlines. Kids are using markers from small pastel-colored bowls placed evenly across the table.
